From the supplier: The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) will consider a new policy about insurers' use of credit reports in determining risk. Consumer representatives are opposed to the planned policy, while insurers are in favor of the current draft. A recent analysis of the correlation between credit scores and future losses, commissioned by consumer credit score supplier Fair, Isaac and Co, shows a 99% probability that a strong relationship exists, if analysts discount the data from one company in the study.
